M.Y. "IN TOO DEEP" Ferretti 28m

In June 2017 My husband & I purchased a yacht, at that time the broker recommended a young man named Hamish Hollingsworth for the position as Captain. Over the summer we used the vessel mostly for day trips and a few weekends through out New England. I felt that Hamish was a professional and reliable Captain. The vessel was always kept spotless & guest ready which we enjoy as we live close to the marina and like to stop by with friends from time to time.

In March 2018 Hamish resigned as Captain, We wish him the best in all his endeavors and feel confident recommending him to another vessel

M.Y. "IL CAPO" Broward 34m

Hamish Hollingsworth was employed as Captain on Board IL CAPO. I first hired Hamish when I was purchasing the yacht. I was very impressed with his knowledge of the engine room, attention to detail, and his ability to hit the ground running. While employed Hamish completed an interior refit and created a busy charter schedule, completing 13 weeks of charter between Bahamas & Caribbean in our first winter season.

On various occasions I was made of mechanical issues during charter, but the charters never got canceled. Hamish always kept the yacht moving and completed every charter with the guests and brokers happy.

I was very disappointed when Hamish Gave me his letter of resignation, My Family, my friends and myself will miss him. I am confident that whatever vessel he runs next will be very lucky to have him as Captain.

M.Y. "Leading Fearlessly" Sunseeker 28m

Durring his time as Captain Hamish Hollingsworth impressed me with his positive can do attitude and his ability to stick to timelines laid out. When we received the yacht after having it shipped over seas, Hamish quickly jumped into action building and completing a extensive shipyard and surveys repair list along with other requested upgrades.

Being a brand new program, after the first year we had a better idea of what kind of itinerary we would have. Hamish resigned as Captain to work on a busier yacht traveling offshore. He will be missed and I believe anyone that hires him can rest assured knowing their asset is in good hands.

M.Y. "Moksha" Warren 27m

Hamish was employed as captain where he worked successfully in the fleet's busy program for two years. He opperated charters and guest service on vessels Moksha, Mystique & Firefly, with a busy program involving 200+ days per year of guest service. He successfully lead crew opperations with multiple yachts through summer and winter seasons in both Washington DC and Miami. He left the program on his own accord to explore positions on larger vessels traveling abroad. We wish him the best of luck. Please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss Hamish's performane and abilities.

Under my command Hamish Has proven himself to be a hard worker, reliable and trustworthy. During his time on board Hamish was not only responsible for maintaining the exterior, he was also responsible for the 38ft intrepid which we tow. He was the sole tender operator and was in charge of all towing operations. He was also responsible for the vessels monthly safety inspection. Including all fire safety equipment. He is well liked by his crew mates and has been a pleasure to have as part of our team. Hamish is leaving M4 of his own will and on good terms.I wish him nothing but the best.

M.Y. "TV" Lurssen 78m

Hamish was hired as a full time deckhand on board M.Y. TV. During his time on board he displayed skill and dedication, while learning the job as quickly and as thoroughly as possible. I have had very few deckhands on board who have shown as much determination to succeed on board as Mr Hollingsworth.

He shows attention to detail and dilligence when following vessel protocol, policies, chain of command and general vessel operations. It was with great regret that we had to terminate Mr Hollingsworth from M.Y. TV due to a restructuring of manpower. The decision was based solely on quantity of crew and was with our regret. Given Mr Hollingsworth's attention to detail, dedication, and skill I believe he would be an asset to any vessel. I would reccomend Mr Hollingsworth for any Deckhand position.

I have known & worked with Hamish Hollingsworth for a number of months. From my own personal knowledge I know that he has carried out all duties with due diligence and attention to detail. I hereby recommend him as a suitable candidate for a position on any vessel and entrusted with the duties of that position.
Regards,

Hamish is polite, respectible, has a great sense of humor, and proved himself to be a hard worker. His duties included detailing the engine room and forward machine spaces, wash downs, teak deck care, and watch keeping duties. If I had a permanent position for him I would not hesitate to hire him full time. Hamish is a person that can be relied upon to do whatever task he is given in a thorough and professional manner. He is self motivated, listens to directions, and would be an asset to any vessel.

Captain. Jack Close

M.Y. "Akula" Amels 57m

Hamish served as a relief deckhand during a hectic two month shipyard period. During his time on board. He worked long hours seven days a week and proved himself to be a valuable member of the deck team. Hamish was in charge of prepping priming and painting some areas of new steel work and went about it in a professional and conscientious manner. He is well able to work on his own initiative and once instructed needs no further direction. He works quickly and efficiently with all tasks being carried out to a high standard. Hamish is a friendly guy with a lively personality and ready smile. He is well presented and gets along with his fellow crew. I wish Hamish all the best for the future and have no hesitation in recommending him to any prospective employer.

Salt Spring Island Charters

I am writing this letter as a reference for Hamish Hollingsworth. My name is John Helme I am a former commercial salmon fisherman on the west coast of British Columbia Canada. I presently own and operate a fishing guide service here in British Columbia. I cater to individuals and groups, many in the film and entertainment industry looking to catch salmon.
I employed Hamish for over ten years in various capacities for both Fishing and Film, from basic maintenance of my 27’ Trophy to assisting on charters as well as photography for my clients while on board. I find Hamish excels quickly at tasks foreign to him, is very steady and consistent in his approach to new things and has good work ethics. I have found him to be very reliable and hard working and I would hire him again if he returns to the coast. I am thrilled he is pursuing new interests and wanting to see the world I wish him luck and any charter would not go wrong hiring him on their vessel.
